Review of book blog!

As you can see below, I did a review last week on a blog of a hobby or something you liked. I did it about cats last week where 5 cats talk about their life at their home. Well this week, I am doing a blog on food. Yes! I know that you might think that I am not a person that makes "good" food but it is true! I love to cook! I like to cook cakes, cookies and any type of pastry. Now here is my review to http://www.cookingwithamy.blogspot.com/.

Now the first thing I am going to start of is with the title. I think that it is a nice name but not that original. Though her slogan is very catchy. The title includes her name and is something you will remember but not different from others. In all though, the title and slogan is a good precis of the blog.

The second thing that I want to talk about is the content in the blog. If you go onto the link and on the blog, you can see that from the entries, this blog has been going on for a couple of years. In this blog, she explains some restaurants found in her city. She reviews them and has some recipes on their for you to cook. The good thing with this website is that they give the address of the restaurants. She also gives the name, postal code, and phone number if you need to contact them for any reasons like reservations. She writes about upcoming events like meetings, shows, or contests. This is actually very good for some restaurants and very bad for others because if she writes a good review about the restaurant and positive comments and complements, her readers will most likely be influenced with what she writes and try it. But, if she writes negative things about the restaurant, her readers will probably not go there. So many people are influenced with her words. I like her content very much even though she doesn't use any literary devices. Her content is detailed with a lot of refrences, recipes backing up her information. Very well done Amy!

Visuals: I think that this is one of the best things with this blogs. The visuals really bring out the meaning of what she is trying to explain in a review or even just describing a recipe. The visuals help describe the food or help people to see what it is like. She also mentions in one of her posts that she is going to re-design her blog. She is going to make it more modern. Practice makes perfect, that is what everyone says. That is a very good thing to have on a blog.

Amy's blog was excellent! It had everything needed except for literary devices. She describes perfectly and has many pictures that back up her opinions. True talent!
