Hello everyone!
Sorry about not posting for a very longtime. I just haven't read a book yet. But I have some very good news. Since the blog opened last year, we have had 590 views! If we can get 1000 views in the next three months, I will have you guys comment on this post and put whatever book you want me to review/read. I will draw one name from all the names you suggest and that will be the book I read. So remember to refer this blog to your friends and family a.s.a.p so that we can reach 1000 views!

Books and Movies
Hey Everyone!
I have just started reading the book Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. I havn't really gotten that far so I can't write a review about it. But last weekend I found out that the movie was out. The movie is adapted from the book and apparently it is very good. It made over 30 million dollars on the first weekend of release. As soon as I have read enough to write a review I will so stay tuned! :)

Review of Soulstice

I read 1 book over the holidays and that book was called Solstice. It is the 2nd book of a series, the first being the Devouring (best book ever). Now I can't spoil to much but it is about the main character Reggie who seems to be getting more and more involved with vours, dark creatures that creep into your body on sorrow night and throw your soul into a fearscape (your worst nightmare). To understand the second book, you need to read the first one. All in all, this book was not the best sequel written. The 3rd book will definitely need to exceed my expectations for my opinions to go back to the way they were, after reading the first book. Solstice was very different from The Devouring. Obviously to my opinions, The Devouring can't even be compared to Solstice, it is much better. There is something lacking in Solstice. There was basically no suspense except for things closer to the end. Other than that, there was nothing very interesting. Although the characters are very well developed (spoiler- and we can definitely something between Aaron and Reggie), I just don't find that it was as interesting as the first one. The story was not as original as the first one and it just didn't reach my standards. I am not encouraging you to not read it, all I am saying is don't be disappointed if you are not as happy with it.
MMMMMM.... Maybe I am just saying the negative things about the book. Although there are many negative points, there are some positive points too! The last 50-100 pages are full of action. All those unanswered questions are all answered in those pages. New and old characters are introduced throughout the book which makes it even more excited. The ending is great and full of suspense and excitement.
In conclusion, although it is a sequel with many flaws, it is still good to read if you have read the first book. And anyways, lets remember, nothing can ever be perfect! :)
I have changed my rating system to a score out of 10.
Solstice Rating: 7.8/10
Sorry, I havn't replied in a while... I have been very busy. I am in highschool so I have all my exams and summatives to hand in. If you have read my blog before, you would know that I read the book The Devouring and did a review on it last year. It was one of teh best books i have ever read and I definantly reccommend it. Now, I am going to review the sequel, The Soulstice!
